Our Story
Almost eight years ago, Dublin Window Tint started with nothing but determination, a few supplies, and a passion for cars. Colby, our founder, went door to door polishing headlights for just $20 trying to make more than a typical 9-5 learning about the hustle and mentality needed to really strive in the automotive world, grinding day by day to build a solid set of skills and knowledge. Eventually, he got his foot in the door with a local body shop, learning the trade and further sharpening his skills.
After years of practice, Colby branched into detailing, only to find the market oversaturated with shops racing to the bottom—offering "premium" work for pennies. Frustrated with the lack of quality and honesty in the industry, he knew there had to be a better way. That’s when he met his first employee, a seasoned tint installer with over a decade of experience, and Dublin Window Tint was born.
With the foundation set, we quickly expanded into paint protection film, bringing the same dedication to quality and transparency that had been missing in the industry. For years, we’ve been committed to cutting through the noise—exposing the truth in a market flooded with Duplicate brands from the same major oversea manufactures, uneducated shop owners thriving on drama and negativity, and sky-high prices driven by hype and marketing instead of quality.

We’re committed to delivering the highest quality work, being 100% honest and transparent, and offering better pricing than the competition. How? By cutting out the middlemen and sourcing materials directly from the factories that supply the entire industry.

The reality is that brands like XPEL, 3M, LLumar, STEK, and GSWF all rely on the same fundamental components. Ashland, one of the world’s largest adhesive manufacturers, produces the adhesive layers found in most films. Lubrizol supplies the industry’s most widely used TPU for paint protection films, while Mitsui Chemical Japan and Covestro Germany manufacture TPU used in brands like STEK. These materials are the backbone of nearly every "high-end" film on the market. The only real difference? Branding and marketing budgets. The so-called "top" brands don’t dominate because of superior technology—they dominate because they spend the most on advertising. Big marketing powerhouses rebrand the same core materials, tweak the formulas slightly, and sell them at massive markups (Nearly %700), convincing customers they’re getting something exclusive. We saw through the smoke and mirrors by digging deep and learning the real secrets of the industry. We put in the work—waking up at the crack of dawn for online meetings, sitting down with factory representatives, Corporate Heads, and testing hundreds of samples to ensure the products we offer meet our exact standards. No gimmicks, no middlemen—just the same high-quality materials the big brands use, without the inflated price tags... Instead of playing the branding game, we focus on what actually matters: real performance, real quality, and real value.

While we proudly quote our clientele and install our own imported film technologies 95% of the time—carefully selected for their superior performance, durability, and value— however we also maintain full licensing and certification with nearly every major "brand" in the industry. This means that for clients who have a specific film preference or project requirement, we can provide specialized quotes and complete installations using virtually any product on the market. Whether it’s a well-known brand or a niche product, we have the expertise and access to make it happen. However, it’s important to note that not all films perform at the same level as our preferred offerings... Different formulas for products can result in various end results. Why do you think we stopped offering to many "brand name" products? They sucked. That said, the sky is the limit—if you can dream it, we’ll bring it to life with a tailored solution that meets your needs.
